two way bomber

One bomber, two ways. It's as simple as pairing prints with solids and solids with prints and styling both outfits with white skirts? I'm predictable and am not mad at it. Hope y'all are enjoying your Sunday!

new in | leatherology + eleven paris

My love for backpacks has led to this, another incredible addition to my growing collection. This leatherology Ellum backpack is large and in charge. This baby will be perfect for my weekend jaunts in the city with its convenient size and amazing neutral color and to top all of that off? It's monogrammed just in case I forget my last name. That's the whole thing about leatherology: personalized goods for all!

And the evolution of leopard print has brought me this Eleven Paris hat that's all too affordable not to have in my closet. Plus, it'll be the coolest pop of print in an otherwise basic weekend outfit, which you know I'm all about.

Enjoy the weekend, guys!

In the words of the great Miranda Priestly, played by the inimitable Meryl Streep: "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking."

embrace spring

Photos by Alvin

This past weekend, this routine aimless wandering in Brooklyn paid off when Alvin and I bumped into a friend very randomly in the middle of nowhere: Herman, who was just biking around Williamsburg with his camera (as he does - guys, his photos are real cool, so check it out @doobybrain). Obviously I had to take a photo of his insanely hip bike and he snapped a cool photo of Alvin and I, here and here.

Oh and guys, it was 55 degrees yesterday, isn't it time to put away those puffer coats? People were giving me second glances because I was barelegged and just had a light parka (albeit beautiful) on. I mean come on y'all. I smell spring and it's time to embrace it.

Edit: It's 40 degrees outside now. Bye world.

Yes, I love looking like a boy. These oversized overalls are the most comfortable things I own right now - paired with the same Hawaiian shirt in my last posts, an oversized vest that I picked up from a thrift store and an iced coffee (always an iced coffee). Throw on my trusty backpack and you've got a get-up for every single weekend.

Clashing camouflage and Hawaiian prints are totally alright if they're in the same shade of dark.

Hello Monday and hey, happy St. Patrick's Day!

spring backward

Today, no one's really thinking about spring especially when it's 30 degrees outside. But flashback to a few days ago when it was 57 and I just couldn't wait to break out my new embellished Zara sandals (that wanted desperately to be Birkenstocks).

Also - this Dorothy Perkins plaid top. I have the matching skirt (actually two of them) - and am waiting for that perfect weather to wear them together. And right now, with the code DPFW25 - you get 25% off! Clearly a no brainer.

Happy Pi Day, nerds!

disposable snaps

A few disposable snaps from last weekend and a few (more than a few actually) weekends ago.  A strangely awesome, symmetrical snap of Central Park on the way to the Met and one of my favorite rooms in the museum.

Sleep No More was definitely a great experience and totally worth it. Joined the midnight showing and had a blast.

Flashback to a warmer time at the Nicky Romero and Kendrick Lamar concert up in Syracuse.
