irrelevant cold weather

Winter is made that much more bearable with a perfectly chunky turtleneck and a fur-shearling-combo jacket. But another huge reason why I voluntarily leave my house during the winter? Everyone's back for winter break and that alone makes the 30 degree weather completely irrelevant. Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas!

It was all smiles after spending a majority of the day at my first work holiday party. For it to be with such a great company like Bollare made me realize how lucky I am to be surrounded by wonderful coworkers, all of whom I can call my friends. I didn't opt for the typical red, sequinned holiday ensemble and wore a new midi skirt and all dark everything. I paired all the darks with Bollare gifted  Dannijo friendship bracelet and their iconic jeweled cuff to make it one of the absolute best holidays I've ever had.

The Lana Jacket, the Lanston T and my favorite vest make it so easy for a girl to layer for the fall. With everything else so simple, I had to add a pair of printed pants and the color of the season, oxblood, in the form of one of my favorite bags to date.

a ladylike attempt

Can we talk about Etienne Aigner? I remember lusting after vintage Etienne Aigner pieces in high school, the leather, the immensely beautiful vintage feel to their bags. Etienne Aigner has really grown into an amazing brand, paving the way with their signature doctor totes by creative director Daniela Anastasio Bardazzi. With their Soho store launching next year, they'll be making every girl's life so much easier when looking for the perfect leather bag and when trying to look like a lady.

Despite my persistent cold, this weekend I had a great lunch with Steph, Matt and Amy at Nook in Hell's Kitchen. Sure, it was freezing. Never mind that it was a literal hole in the wall, but their french toast (with strawberry sauce) was out of this world and it was great to catch up with new and old friends while looking like a coat rack that everyone just piled their clothes on.

the fine details

Untitled #8

Sometimes the details on an outfit are just as interesting as the outfit itself. In this case, it's all about the quilted details on yet another grey sweatshirt I own, a pair of tribal printed shoes and a few statement bracelets that make up that old forgotten concept of an arm party.

a test run

I call this a test trial for my Zara coat, wear it a few times with a few different outfits and see how it plays out, because listen - I can't really afford a $170 coat that I'll only wear for a few months. But then again, I couldn't pass it up when I put it on. I love its drop shouldered silhouette that subdues my broad shoulders. I love the quilted faux leather sleeves - with adjustable zippers in case my wrists decide to get fat. I love the whole wrapped-in-a-blanket feel to this jacket. Let's face it, ya'll. I'm not returning this, am I?
